On March 16, 2025, marking its sixteenth anniversary, SF Airlines unlocked a new milestone by welcoming its 90th all-cargo freighter (a 767-300BCF) in Shenzhen. This achievement signifies the company's entry into a new stage of scaled development and the opening of a new chapter in global operations.
Capacity Leap: Anchored in the Aspiration of Setting Sail
In 2009, SF Airlines received its first all-cargo freighter (757-200F) in Shenzhen and launched its inaugural cargo route "Shenzhen=Hangzhou," successfully setting sail. Over the years, dedicated to building a safe and efficient air logistics service and continuously promoting economic development and livelihood support, SF Airlines has diligently operated and strived forward. Its all-cargo freighter fleet capacity has now risen to rank first in Asia. The arrival of the 90th freighter in Shenzhen in 2025 resonates with the company's original aspiration upon setting sail and stands as a testament to its determination for growth.
This 90th freighter joining the SF fleet is also the 100th 767-300BCF delivered globally by Boeing. SF Airlines' fleet now expands to 4 B747s, 25 B767s, 43 B757s, and 18 B737s, with wide-body aircraft accounting for over 30%. The B747 and B767 models serve as the mainstay for long-haul routes to Europe, North America, and Asia, while the B757 and B737 models form the backbone for domestic and regional routes within Asia.
The expansion in capacity scale and the optimization of the fleet structure will assist SF Airlines in extending its "comprehensive domestic coverage and seamless international reach" cargo route network. This enables better integration with the SF Ezhou Hub, enhances the hub's operational capacity, and further leverages fleet and network advantages to strengthen the core competitiveness in serving both domestic and international logistics supply chains and global customers.
Capability Upgrade: Steadfast Confidence to Advance Globally
In 2024, SF Airlines' annual cargo volume surpassed the one-million-ton mark for the first time, exceeding 1.17 million tons in total, setting a new record for the past fifteen years with significant growth. Reaching the milestone of 90 aircraft is a crucial indicator of the upgrade in SF Airlines' operational and service capabilities. This bolsters the company's confidence in serving global customers and reinforces its determination to advance into the global market.
In the process of integrating aircraft capacity resources and advancing international operations, SF Airlines focuses not only on the breadth of network coverage but also on the depth of operational services. The company currently serves over 110 cities (including historical destinations), encompassing more than 70 cities in mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan, as well as over 40 major cities in countries including the United States, Germany, Belgium, South Korea, Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, India, Pakistan, and the United Arab Emirates.
While expanding its operational footprint, SF Airlines is also accelerating the acquisition of internationally advanced cargo capabilities. For instance, on January 22, 2025, SF Airlines officially obtained the IATA CEIV Pharma (Center of Excellence for Independent Validators in Pharmaceutical Logistics) certification, becoming one of the few airlines in China to achieve this recognition. This marks a significant step into the pharmaceutical cold chain logistics sector. Furthermore, the range of cargo SF Airlines can transport now covers general cargo, live animals, oversized and overweight cargo, valuable items, perishables, Class 1-9 commercial dangerous goods compliant with transportation regulations, and disaster relief supplies.
Charting the Course from Launch, Advancing to New Horizons
Standing at the new starting point of a fleet exceeding 90 aircraft, SF Airlines will anchor itself in its original aspiration upon setting sail and steadfastly maintain its confidence to advance globally. The company will steadily expand its fleet size and route network, accelerate the enhancement of its air logistics service capabilities, and contribute SF's strength to the high-quality development of the industrial economy and the high-standard safeguarding of people's livelihoods.
