SF Airlines Launches "Chengdu=Mumbai" International Cargo Route

On May 15, 2023, SF Airlines officially launched its "Chengdu-Mumbai" international cargo route, marking another direct flight connection from Chengdu to India that extends its reach across South Asia.

Operated by SF Airlines' B767-300 freighter aircraft, the "Chengdu-Mumbai" route is scheduled for one weekly flight, providing over 100 tons of round-trip air cargo capacity between Chengdu and Mumbai, India's largest city. The route will facilitate cross-border transportation of goods including electronic products, auto parts, textiles, and mechanical equipment, supporting Chinese brands in exporting products and expanding their industrial presence from Chengdu to India and South Asia under the "going global" strategy.

In recent years, SF Airlines has established multiple international routes from Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport to Kathmandu (Nepal), Hanoi (Vietnam), Seoul (South Korea), Dhaka (Bangladesh), Lahore (Pakistan), Delhi (India), and Chennai (India). With the addition of the "Chengdu-Mumbai" route, SF Airlines now operates three India-bound routes from Chengdu, connecting major cities in northern, southeastern, and western India. These three parallel routes represent SF Airlines' strategic commitment to the South Asian market and its dedication to serving global logistics supply chains. The expansion will contribute to Chengdu's development as a "Pan-Euro-Asia" air cargo hub and support the high-quality growth of its export-oriented economy.

Going forward, SF Airlines will continue to monitor market demand and leverage Chengdu's advantageous geographical location and favorable logistics environment to deploy additional aircraft capacity and aviation support resources when appropriate, with plans to open more global cargo routes originating from Chengdu.
