On the morning of January 28, 2026, SF Airlines flight O3251 took off from Chongqing carrying cargo bound for Yangon, the largest city in Myanmar. This marks the official launch of the regular "Chongqing=Yangon" international cargo route. It is SF Airlines' first route to Myanmar, establishing yet another vital air logistics corridor directly connecting the ASEAN region. This new route will serve regional economic cooperation and contribute to the development of the Belt and Road Initiative.

The "Chongqing=Yangon" route is scheduled to operate one round-trip flight per week, utilizing B767-300 wide-body freighter. This weekly service will provide over 100 tons of air freight capacity between Chongqing and Yangon. It will efficiently facilitate the export of Chinese brand goods and production materials, as well as the import of Myanmar's specialty agricultural products and general commodities. This initiative will inject new momentum into China's import and export trade with Myanmar and the broader ASEAN region.

Myanmar and China are connected by mountains and rivers. China has been Myanmar's largest trading partner for many consecutive years, and Myanmar is also one of the ASEAN countries with close cooperation with Chongqing. The launch of the "Chongqing=Yangon" route will help attract more "buy globally, sell globally" trade activities to take root in Chongqing, transforming the efficiency of cross-border air transport into logistics capabilities. This will support Chongqing in enhancing the openness and capacity of its "five-type" national logistics hub, complement the construction of a multi-dimensional logistics network along the New Western Land-Sea Corridor, and provide solid logistics support for the joint development of the Belt and Road Initiative and the smooth circulation of both domestic and international markets.

With the launch of the "Chongqing=Yangon" route, SF Airlines now connects to eight ASEAN countries: Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. This further enhances the airline's route network in Southeast Asia and strengthens its international logistics and supply chain service capabilities. Going forward, SF Airlines will continue to leverage its fleet of 90 freighters and its network spanning over 120 cities worldwide to develop more competitive air logistics services and actively foster international collaboration in industrial and supply chains.
