SF Airlines Launches "Xi'an-Vientiane" International Cargo Route with Inaugural Flight to Laos

On July 13, 2025, SF Airlines launched the "Xi'an=Vientiane" international cargo route using a B757-200 freighter, safely transporting over 20 metric tons of Class 1 dangerous goods. This marks not only SF Airlines’ first flight to Laos and further expansion into Southeast Asia, but also a milestone in its enhanced capability for dangerous goods transportation by air.

Dangerous goods transport is one of the most stringent and specialized areas in aviation logistics, directly reflecting an airline’s service quality. Since its establishment, SF Airlines has been committed to building and improving its dangerous goods transport system, supporting the industry’s shift from high-speed to high-quality development. Since obtaining approval in January 2020 to transport all nine classes of dangerous goods, the airline has invested in hardware, talent, processes, and service branding. It has built operational experience at multiple airports globally and can now provide end-to-end customized solutions—from cargo screening to delivery—with dedicated expert teams.

In line with the CAAC’s Guidelines on Promoting High-Quality Development of Public Air Transport of Dangerous Goods (2021), which aim to establish a safe, efficient, convenient, and high-quality dangerous goods transport system by 2025, SF Airlines has successfully executed multiple missions—including exports of large lithium batteries under A99 special approval and urgent shipments of viral strains.

Moving forward, SF Airlines will continue to strengthen safety management, improve transport technology, enhance staff training, and build a secure and efficient global network to better serve dangerous goods logistics and support high-quality industry growth.
