SF Airlines Launches "Ezhou-Hong Kong" All-Cargo Route

On the morning of October 30, 2024, a B737-400 freighter operated by SF Airlines departed from Ezhou Huahu International Airport and arrived at Hong Kong International Airport, marking the official launch of the "Ezhou-Hong Kong" cargo route. This is Ezhou's first all-cargo route connecting to Hong Kong and the broader Greater Bay Area.

Hong Kong, recognized as one of the world's most competitive economies, is home to the busiest cargo airport globally. It serves as a critical link in the "dual circulation" strategy, bridging domestic and international markets. As Hubei's largest source of foreign investment, third-largest trading partner, and a primary destination for overseas investments, Hong Kong plays a pivotal role in regional commerce. Meanwhile, Ezhou has established Asia's first dedicated cargo hub airport, emerging as a new engine for industrial upgrading and economic growth in Hubei and beyond. The launch of the "Ezhou-Hong Kong" route represents the first direct connection between these two world-class cargo hubs, fostering collaboration between the Yangtze River Delta and the Pearl River Delta while creating new channels and momentum for trade and logistics.

Operated by a B737-400 freighter with a maximum payload of 16 tons, the "Ezhou-Hong Kong" route offers three weekly flights, providing nearly 100 tons of air freight capacity. Its long-term, stable operation will facilitate deeper integration of supply chains and expanded cooperation between the two regions. This route will further unlock Ezhou's potential as a cargo gateway, supporting Hubei's high-level openness and high-quality development, while reinforcing Hong Kong's role as a global trade hub and supply chain services cluster.

With the "Double 11" peak logistics season underway, the new route will also enhance cross-border e-commerce efficiency, accelerating the delivery of parcels and improving consumer experiences in both regions.

To date, SF Airlines' Ezhou-based network spans over 60 global destinations, covering East Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and North America.
