On the morning of August 20, 2023, Beijing time, SF Airlines launched the "Shenzhen-Port Moresby" international cargo route using a B747-400 freighter. A batch of electrical equipment was transported on the inaugural flight from Shenzhen to Port Moresby, the capital of Papua New Guinea, and will subsequently be deployed in local infrastructure projects.
Located in Oceania, Papua New Guinea marks the destination of SF Airlines' first Oceania route, "Shenzhen-Port Moresby." This achievement represents a new milestone in the airline's all-cargo route network, expanding its reach beyond Asia and into Europe, the Americas, and now Oceania.
For SF Airlines, Oceania is a completely new operational region. To adapt to the unique conditions of this area, the airline has enhanced key capabilities, including crew operations and dispatch procedures, laying the groundwork for future expansion of Oceania routes. In terms of cargo transportation, SF Airlines has closely monitored customer needs, developing tailored solutions that balance safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. These efforts support the engineering projects and industrial investments of Chinese private enterprises in Papua New Guinea, further advancing the Belt and Road Initiative.
Currently, SF Airlines' operational freighter fleet has grown to 84 aircraft, enabling the company to provide diversified air logistics solutions based on market demand. Moving forward, SF Airlines will continue to strengthen its logistics and supply chain services, striving to deliver even higher-quality air logistics solutions for both domestic and international markets.
