At approximately 17:00 Beijing time on July 11, 2021, SF Airlines successfully operated its inaugural "vaccine flight," transporting 1.25 million doses of Chinese-made COVID-19 vaccines from Beijing to Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan. This shipment is expected to meet the vaccination needs of 625,000 local residents. The mission marks both SF Airlines' first COVID-19 vaccine export transportation and another milestone in its international pandemic relief efforts.

Upon receiving the vaccine transportation request, SF Airlines immediately mobilized resources, efficiently coordinating flight rights, aircraft capacity, flight crews, and ground services both domestically and internationally to ensure the successful launch of this first vaccine charter flight.
Since the development and deployment of COVID-19 vaccines, SF Airlines has been proactively building its vaccine transportation capabilities while monitoring global vaccine logistics markets. The carrier has established specialized transportation procedures and contingency plans compliant with pharmaceutical cargo standards, while conducting targeted training for operational personnel to ensure rapid response to vaccine shipping demands.
With its current fleet of 66 freighters serving over 40 major Chinese cities, SF Airlines' B747, B767, B757 and B737 aircraft provide flexible capacity for varying distances and cargo volumes, enabling nationwide responsiveness. The carrier's prior experience operating the Central Asia route "Urumqi=Bishkek" since May 2019 also provided valuable operational foundations for this vaccine mission.

Given vaccines' stringent temperature control requirements and sensitivity to turbulence, SF Airlines refined its standard pharmaceutical transport protocols for the Beijing-Bishkek route. The company deployed a B767 freighter, strictly implemented operational standards at all handling points, maintained precise cargo hold temperatures, and minimized in-flight turbulence to ensure optimal transport conditions.
Beyond its core express air cargo services, SF Airlines has collaborated with SF International and supply chain divisions to develop specialized solutions for sectors including electronics, pharmaceuticals, and cold chain logistics. This inaugural vaccine flight represents both a new beginning for SF Airlines' pharmaceutical logistics capabilities and a milestone in its comprehensive logistics service development. Moving forward, the carrier will continue enhancing operational safety and efficiency to provide superior air transport services for global vaccine distribution.
