SF Airlines Launches 2 Cargo Routes to Aid Tibet Earthquake Relief Efforts

On the morning of January 9, 2025, SF Airlines successively launched two cargo routes: "Wuxi=Lhasa" and "Shijiazhuang=Lhasa". These routes transported large quantities of earthquake relief supplies gathered in Wuxi and Shijiazhuang to Lhasa. The supplies included warm clothing, cotton-padded quilts, blankets, food, tools, and equipment, totaling approximately 11,200 items and weighing nearly 42 tons. Upon arrival in Lhasa, the goods will connect to ground trunk lines for rapid transportation to Shigatse (Xigazê) to aid local earthquake relief efforts.

Transporting relief supplies was extremely urgent. Upon receiving the mission, SF Airlines immediately established a dedicated task force to advance the preparation of both routes simultaneously. With the full support of the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), air traffic control, and relevant airport authorities, the company swiftly completed route filing and approval, formulated a special support plan, and deployed two well-performing B757-200 all-cargo freighters capable of operating on high-altitude plateau routes, along with experienced flight and ground crew. Through multiple coordinated measures, SF Airlines expedited the launch of the relief routes to ensure faster delivery of the relief supplies.

From January 10 to 11, SF Airlines is expected to operate two additional cargo flights from Shijiazhuang to Lhasa, ensuring the transport of over 40 tons of relief supplies.

SF Airlines' current fleet of 89 all-cargo freighters is distributed across more than 40 cities nationwide, enabling a rapid response to relief material transport needs across various regions. The fleet is capable of carrying oversized and overweight rescue equipment. Moving forward, SF Airlines will closely monitor the progress of relief efforts, maintain reserves of aviation support resources, and remain on standby to support earthquake relief and ensure smooth transportation.
