New Aircraft Model! SF Airlines Welcomes First B737-800BCF

On December 21, 2024, SF Airlines celebrated a new milestone in fleet development on the 15th anniversary of its operations, as its first B737-800BCF arrived at Ezhou Huahu International Airport and joined the fleet. This marks the first time SF Airlines has welcomed a new aircraft model at its Ezhou hub, expanding its fleet to 88 aircraft.

Based on the 737NG platform, the B737-800BCF boasts a maximum payload of 23.9 tons and a range of 3,750 kilometers. Compared to previous-generation models, it offers advantages in capacity, range, and fuel efficiency. Estimates indicate that the B737-800BCF can reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by up to 20% per ton. With higher reliability, lower fuel consumption, and reduced per-trip operating costs, this aircraft enhances route performance and better serves market demands.

Previously, SF Airlines operated models including the B747-400ERF, B767-300BCF, B757-200F, and B737CL (B737-300 and B737-400). The B737 series was first introduced in 2011 and has played a crucial role in developing domestic and regional international routes over the past decade. Complementing other models, it forms a tiered fleet capable of long-, medium-, and short-haul flights, supporting SF Airlines' rapid expansion of a "domestically comprehensive, globally connected" cargo network. With the addition of the first B737-800BCF, the number of B737s in SF Airlines' fleet has grown to 18, accounting for 20% of the total fleet.

To continuously improve fleet efficiency and enhance competitiveness in air logistics services, SF Airlines prioritizes optimizing fleet structure while expanding capacity. Additional aircraft are expected to enter service by late this year or early next, steadily advancing the fleet toward the 90-aircraft milestone.
