SF Airlines Launches New "Urumqi-Xining-Hangzhou" Domestic Cargo Route

On the evening of January 17, 2022, SF Airlines officially launched its "Urumqi-Xining-Hangzhou" cargo route, with the inaugural flight successfully delivering fresh beef and mutton to Hangzhou in the early hours of January 18. This marks SF Airlines' first commercially operated all-cargo route in Xining, expanding its domestic cargo network to cover 34 provincial capitals across China.

With the Spring Festival approaching, SF Airlines entered its peak holiday logistics period on January 8. To facilitate consumers' holiday preparations, the carrier has introduced nearly 20 new domestic cargo routes and deployed its entire fleet of over 60 freighters to ensure timely delivery of seasonal goods. The launch of the "Urumqi-Xining-Hangzhou" route represents a key milestone in SF Airlines' Spring Festival logistics support plan.

Operated by B757-200 freighters with a payload capacity of nearly 28 tons, this daily route establishes an efficient air corridor connecting Northwest China's Xinjiang and Qinghai with East China. It enables faster and wider distribution of Northwest China's specialty fresh agricultural products while enhancing consumer experience for holiday purchases. As Hangzhou houses SF's national air hub, goods arriving via this route can be efficiently distributed nationwide.

In recent years, to support fresh e-commerce and rural industries, SF Airlines has developed extensive experience operating "beef and mutton" routes including "Yinchuan=Hangzhou", "Hohhot=Wuhan", "Hohhot=Hangzhou", and "Xilinhot=Hangzhou". This expertise in fresh meat transportation laid solid groundwork for the new route. Given Xining Airport's high-altitude conditions, SF Airlines conducted specialized training for crew and ground staff to ensure smooth operations.

As the first all-cargo route launched in 2022 at Xining Caojiabao International Airport, the route received strong support from Western Airport Group's Qinghai Airport Company in cargo coordination, service processes, resource allocation, and epidemic control measures.

This route also represents SF Airlines' first new cargo route in 2022. The company plans to continue introducing new aircraft and routes to enhance its role in supporting economic and social development through air cargo services.
