SF Airlines Secures High-Plateau Operations Certification for Lhasa Kongga Airport

On June 5, 2018, SF Airlines Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "SF Airlines") obtained approval for its Operations Specifications from the Civil Aviation Administration of China's Shenzhen Office, securing operational certification for Lhasa Gonggar Airport's high-plateau operations. This achievement lays a solid foundation for the future launch of the scheduled "Chengdu=Lhasa" route.

In alignment with China's Belt and Road Initiative and targeted poverty alleviation policies, SF Airlines plans to operate regular "Chengdu=Lhasa" flights using B757-200 freighters. With an average altitude of 3,600 meters, complex terrain, and variable weather conditions, Lhasa Gonggar Airport represents a typical high-plateau operating environment that demands comprehensive operational capabilities. Since establishing its "High-Plateau & RNP AR Project Team" in late 2016, SF Airlines has completed nearly two years of preparatory work including the modification of three B757 aircraft, development of high-plateau operational manuals and documentation, RNP AR procedure formulation, and specialized crew training. These efforts successfully passed document review and verification flights conducted by the CAAC Shenzhen Office, completing the supplementary certification process.

The approval of high-plateau operational certification marks a significant enhancement of SF Airlines' safety capabilities and represents a promising start for future high-plateau route operations.
