SF Airlines launches the first international cargo route between Ezhou and Oslo

On the morning of January 14, 2025, a 767-300BCF of SF Airlines took off from Ezhou Huahu International Airport with over 2,500 shipments to Oslo, the capital of Norway, this marked the official launch of the Ezhou-Oslo international cargo route, which not only represents SF Airlines' first entry into the Norwegian market but also the first cargo route connecting Hubei Province to Norway.

Ezhou–Oslo is scheduled to operate twice a week, and flew by the B767-300 wide-body freighter. The freighter is expected to provide air transport capacity for over 200 tonnes of exported cargoes including shipments, e-commerce goods, general cargoes and imported cargoes including Norwegian salmon, which can be dispatched quickly by virtue of the cargo route.

Oslo is the largest city and the economic, commercial and transportation center of Norway. According to public reports, Norway exported 182,000 tonnes of seafood to China in 2024, a growth of 14 percent year-on-year, and the Chinese market rose to the sixth place in the global export market of Norwegian seafood, continuing to become the largest market for Norwegian seafood in Asia, and also the fastest growing market worldwide. Located in Ezhou, Ezhou Huahu International Airport is the first professional cargo hub airport in Asia and the fourth of its kind in the world. The capabilities of international freight supporting facilities and the opening of ports are improving steadily. Ezhou has become an important port for going global by air.

The cargo route launched between Ezhou and Oslo will be a highly efficient and stable air logistics channel for trade between China and Norway, assist in integrating the advantages of cargo hub in Ezhou, promote growth of import and export trade between China and Norway. While assisting domestic brands in going global to Norway and Europe, the route provides more convenient logistics for the import of Norway’s high-quality commodities and seafood. As the Spring Festival is approaching, the cargo route will serve the consumption needs of domestic market of imported salmon, and provide fresher and more adequate food for the Spring Festival.

Ezhou-Oslo is the first international route launched by SF Airlines this year, in the future, SF Airlines will accelerate to go global, focus on enhancing the safe operation capability, expand its international network coverage, and continue to provide safe, efficient, competitive air logistics service for the development of the economic production, industrial upgrade and international logistics supply chain.
