SF Airlines Launched Many Fruit Shipment Air Routes to Allow Customers to Taste the Freshest Fruit

As the Summer comes, lots of fresh fruit are reaped and fruit demand is expanding. On May 18 2018, the Linyi-Shenzhen air route for cherry shipment was opened by SF Airlines Co., Ltd. (SF Airlines for short). After that, SF Airlines will officially open a number of other all-cargo air routes dedicated to fresh food shipment for the year 2018. These air routes will allow customers to enjoy fresh food, facilitate SF Express’ characteristic economic projects and enhance SF Express’ product and service quality.

Linyi-Shenzhen Air Route for Cherry Shipment Was Formally Opened to Allow Customers to Enjoy Fresh Cherry

In the morning of May 18 2018, the Linyi-Shenzhen all-cargo air route was formally opened, and Linyi became the 41st city covered by SF Airlines’ air route network. In the past, the cherry produced in Linyi can only be shipped through belly-hold space of passenger planes. The opening of Linyi-Shenzhen all-cargo air route will put an end to such restriction, and significantly boost the shipment volume and transshipping efficiency of fruit expresses from Linyi. Cargos on the air route will be shipped by SF Airlines’ all-cargo aircraft B737-300, which has a capacity of about 14 tons. As the peak season for cherry shipment is coming, SF Airlines plans to deploy an all-cargo aircraft B757-200 that has larger capacity to carry cargo on the air route later, so as to ensure smooth operation of the air route.

Haikou-Shenzhen Air Route for Lychee Shipment Was Opened to Allow Customers to Enjoy Delicious Lychee

Linyi in northern China produces great cherry, and Haikou in southern China produces tasty lychee. On May 18 2018, along with the opening of Linyi-Shenzhen air route, SF Airlines also reused the all-cargo aircraft B737-300 to initiate the Haikou-Shenzhen air route, which will serve as an optimized solution for the air transportation of Lychee produced in Haikou. As early as 2015, SF Airlines used all-cargo aircraft to provide airfreight support for the fresh food transportation from Haikou to other parts of southern China. The move received good response from the market and laid a sound foundation for the periodical opening of the Haikou-Shenzhen air route. According to SF Express Hainan’s plan,2 all-cargo aircrafts will be put into use in 2018 to ensure smooth operation of the air route for lychee shipment.

Many Air Routes for Fruit Shipment Will Be Launched to Enable Customers to Enjoy the Freshest Fruit

In addition to cherry from Linyi and lychee from Haikou, the air routes for cherry shipment from Xi’an, Yantai and Dalian, the air routes for waxberry shipment from Hangzhou and Ningbo, as well as the air routes for juicy peach shipment from Wuxi and Nantong are also ready to go. These air routes will be integrated into an air-land combined transport system that can deliver the reaped fruit to customers within very short time. During peak period, SF Airlines will put its fleet of various types of all-cargo aircrafts into use to ensure smooth transportation on the air routes for fruit shipment. It is expected total shipment during the peak period will exceed 200 tons.
